Kotimaisen viljelyn yhä vähentyessä,
oli hienoa käydä katsastamassa Nevalaisen Puutarhan valikoimaa.
Lieksassa asti sijaitsevat puutarhat olivat kuitenkin turhan kaukana,
joten tyydyin maaseutumatkaan naapurikuntaan: Sonkajärvellä
sijaitsevalle myyntipisteelle.
With cultivating in my homeland decreases more and more it was wonderful to go and see what Nevalainen's garden has to offer. The gardens in Lieksa were too far away for my taste so I settled on a countryside trip to the neighboring village of Sonkajärvi.

Traditional-style market selling booth surprised me with its selection including variety of traditional plants alongside with some more special kind of plants. Luckily, I had a permission to shop on the tab of the future owner who happens to be an old friend of mine from the gardening school. Thanks Akseli!
Upeat 'Pablo' galleriadaaliat, katsokaa tota valtavaa kukkaa! Oli pakko ottaa niitä kaksi, koska Pablo hurmasi minut täysin. Lisäksi se on täydellinen seuralainen parvekkeellani jo komeilevalle tummanpunaiselle lajikkeelle 'jonka-nimeä-en-tietenkään-muista'.
Gorgeous 'Pablo' gallery Dahlias. Look at that huge flower! I had to take two of them because Pablo stole my heart. Also, it's a perfect partner to dark red Dahlia which I already have in my balcony. It's name has slipped my mind.
Katso nyt sitä! Look, look, look! |
In the foreground: Lovely - but so challenging Diaskia beside Ipomoea batata. Not everything needs to flower in my opinion, sometimes a beautiful set of foliage is enough. Behind: Pink flowered strawberry, which I had to have after I saw my friend having it and got jealous. Also peeking from the bag are rosemary and parsley. All glory to the useful plants!
